Panama City, Panama
Mind dump, sans edit
The link to Sam Faddis’s article on Substack is well worth the time.
Masako Ganaha, Chuck Holton and I were just on Ishigaki island near Taiwan. I circled Ishigaki in blue on the attached map that my friend Matt Bracken sent this morning.
On Ishigaki, Masako, Chuck and I talked with the Mayor and others.
Ishigaki is just near Taiwan and is part of Okinawa Prefecture. Circled in blue.
Roughly 90% of Ishigaki food is shipped in (primary crop there is sugarcane). Japan itself is set for epic famine in case of war.
Mayor of Ishigaki said in case of war, a main concerned is most Japanese on Ishigaki would leave Ishigaki island. Their homes would be left empty to mass refugees — and ‘refugees’ —who would take Ishigaki by default. Meaning Mainland China could take Ishigaki using weaponized migration. Coming by waves of fishing boats from Taiwan.
Senkaku islands are just near Ishigaki. We met with 73 year-old Japanese fisherman on Ishigaki who practically alone tries to defend Senkaku.
Vast energy and other issues at stake. The Japanese government is about as worthless as ours. We also were just in Tokyo meeting with some of those folks. Most are completely clueless, compromised, or both. Same story as Netherlands, etcetera, etcetera...
We are now in Panama and will talk with Ben Bergquam and Oscar Blue before heading back into Darien Gap to examine the Chinese invasion through Darien Gap.
