The attached passage is from the great book on Mao’s Great Famine.
This is how it’s unfolding in America. Still huge numbers of people too dense to realize they are about to get klonked. The riot-window is that people where prices and shortages are causing pain and hunger but the masses still have full-strength. Riot is one thing. Rebellion is another.
This window is short. Especially so when the government is executing a plan and famine is the primary ‘kinetic’ weapon. Information war is used to lullaby the masses as they drift into shortages, and the BOOM. Stuff really gets cut off. There is a window during which there are still plenty of supplies in the pantries and fat stores but this quickly erodes in just weeks or a month or two. Soon the masses are too weak to make a general uprising. And besides…the masses were so dull they did not see this coming from miles away. They cannot pick the lock under stress.
By the time they realize they are in a no-kidding famine, they got no gas for the car, banks don’t work for them, media is fully controlled, and they are too weak and divided to rebel.
Criminal gangs who can feed themselves go full Road-Warrior. Police and military become part of the predators. They and their families get hungry like everyone else.
If the government can withstand the initial violence, the population loses strength. Road-warrior gangs (which might just be local) can stay strong until their usefulness expires.
Gangs and cults quickly form but are now more easily targeted.
When the government tires of the useful idiots and criminal gangs, they are easily killed. And the people cheer that the strongman killed their tormentors. Using food and mind-control techniques, and useful idiots like ANTIFA/BLM sorts, the strongman destroys churches and so forth and provides food. The cows line up for food.
The Window of Rebellion is fleeting. While the gas is flowing and food is still available. After they cut off the water and electric…the train robberies begun. Roads are closed by this or that. Blood flow screeches to a halt. Cornfields become killing fields.
