Sense of US Government Legitmacy is Crucial to Peace and Prosperity
Meanwhile, FBI is broken.
My first line of questions in foreign countries — and now across America — deals with government legitimacy. “Do you trust the police?” “Do you trust the army?” “Are the courts fair?” That sort of thing.
We see both Federal and many US State governments imploding. U-Hauls out of California, New York, and more. Voting with feet.
Many State governments still seem mostly respected as legitimate, such as my Florida. I see the State of Florida as legitimate. Polk County, and the City of Winter Haven, all are viewed as legitimate, based on my questioning around there. But the Feds…. Not so much.
Likewise in Texas, Tennessee, and some others. I get the sense people in those excellent States view the State governments in a mostly positive light. Or, at least sufficiently positive that those governments are viewed as legitimate. The States obey rule of law — say that one again — OBEY RULE OF LAW — and were selected through a reasonably fair process. Notice I mention total fairness or perfection. That will never occur in nature. But a general sense of legitimacy.
Feds simply do not have this. It’s gone. Even the military now is highly suspect.
This link was sent to me by an old CIA friend. Everyone who loves America is upset, including tons of CIA, FBI, military.
Organizational Structure Dictates Outcome.
