TRIAL BY FIRE: Allison Williams: Beacon of Moral Courage
During her trial by fire, she did not fail.
And speaking of women and Trial By Fire, I read a book by Gerry Spence called Trial by Fire: The True Story of a Woman's Ordeal at the Hands of the Law. I believe it was first published in about 1986.
In his book TRIAL BY FIRE, Gerry Spence kept mentioning a book published in 1484 called 'Malleus Maleficarum'. The Witch's Hammer.
And so I found this old book, Malleus Maleficarum, and read it. If you have not read MALLEUS MALEFICARUM, by Heinrich Kramer, and TRIAL BY FIRE, by Gerry Spence, I suggest pickup both together.
Am not sure which one you should read first. Maybe read a chapter in one, and then a chapter in the other, and hopscotch through both books. You will be enriched. If I had time, I would do this now again. Hundreds of books that I wish I had time to read again, and these two books together would be something, and at top of list.
After reading TRIAL BY FIRE in the 1990s, I became even more sensitized to the two-tier justice system women faced and face globally, through history until today.
I cannot possibly explain this system better than Mr. Spence, and the Inquisitors of the Catholic Church, in their own words.
To be clear, these forced poisons are not being foisted upon only women this time. We can all see this is a war against free men, women, and children.
This is our generation's Trial By Fire. If we fail, the great experiment is over, and we descend back into the dark ages.
We will fight. We will fight hard.
